Elimination of Discrimination Against Women & CEDAW: to What Extent is it Jus Cogens?

The international community gathers on occasion to try and achieve specific purposes, through the development of a system guidance, norms regulations for States observe, commonly called law. There have been many achievements by working together collective interests States, example creation human rights Many treaties passed that bind desired purposes. One these is Convention Elimination All Forms Discrimination Against Women, which departs from fundamental set United Nations Charter as well Universal Declaration Human Rights about equality between men women their dignity freedom. However, several are party reserved some articles, there controversy around it. Therefore, it purpose this article analyse whether concept eliminating discrimination against values contained in CEDAW can be categorised Jus Cogens norms, view fact manifestation agreed upon community. Moreover, will also Convention’s implications domestic with significant reservations Convention.
